What is a LIVE FLOOR® moving floor?

It is a floor of aluminium slats laid side by side along the bottom of the truck box. A hydraulic drive splits the slats into three groups and moves them back and forth in a cycle. The weight of the load and its own friction carry the whole load towards the rear door, while the box stays level.

HALLCO® invented this type of floor: its first patent was filed in 1968 in Tillamook, Oregon. More than 50 years later, the company still designs, tests and builds its systems in its own plants.

Time spent waiting in the yard is money. A moving floor wins it back.

Every hour a truck waits for a loader or for workers with rakes is a trip it does not run. These are the costs a moving floor cuts from the very first load.

  • More trips every day

The truck arrives and unloads, with no queue for a loader or a raking crew. The time saved in the yard becomes extra trips. For light cargo, Accelerator™ mode unloads up to 30% faster.

  • Lower handling cost per trip

One driver unloads the whole load alone. No extra hands to rake the cargo, no dependence on a loader at the delivery point.

  • No need to buy a new truck

Nhu Tin retrofits the trailers and trucks you already run. You invest in the floor only, not in a whole vehicle.

  • Deliver to more sites

The box stays level while unloading, so the truck can work in low-roof warehouses, near power lines and on uneven ground, places where tippers struggle.

  • Fewer workplace accidents

The driver operates from the ground, so nobody climbs into a box full of wood chips or waste. The box never rises, so it cannot tip over.

  • No product left behind, no cleaning

The floor pushes cargo right to the rear edge and the clean-out tarp sweeps up the rest. The box is ready for the next load, even a different cargo.

Nhu Tin has hauled bulk cargo since 2010

Nhu Tin Corporation has worked in bulk haulage since 2010 and supplies biomass fuel made from cashew nut shell residue to industrial boilers.

We know exactly how long a truck sits in the yard waiting to be dug out or raked, because that used to be our own daily routine. That is why Nhu Tin chose to represent HALLCO®, the company that invented this floor.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your question? See all questions or call 0907 917 301.

How much does a HALLCO® moving floor cost?

The price depends on the box length, the slat type, the drive model and whether it is a new build or a retrofit. Send Nhu Tin your truck type, box dimensions and usual cargo, and we will quote for exactly that configuration.

Can you fit a truck that is already in service?

Yes. HALLCO® floors fit almost any trailer, truck or container, new or used. Nhu Tin surveys the chassis and box first to see what reinforcement or changes are needed.

What does the tractor need to run the floor?

A hydraulic supply: a pump driven by a power take-off (PTO) or the engine, an oil tank, a filter and lines. For the i-Series, HALLCO requires a minimum rated pressure of 207 bar and a flow of no more than 114 litres per minute. Nhu Tin checks the tractor's existing system during the survey.

What is the warranty?

The i-Series system carries a 2-year warranty for the first owner from the date of delivery. The selling dealer must register it with the factory within 10 days, and Nhu Tin does this at handover.

What cargo can the floor carry?

According to HALLCO, the floor moves any bulk material with enough weight on the floor and enough friction: wood chips, sawdust, rice husk, cashew nut shells, produce, animal feed, waste, scrap and coal. Each cargo group suits its own slat profile.
