A moving floor for every bulk cargo
According to HALLCO, a LIVE FLOOR® moves any bulk material with enough weight on the floor and enough friction. What you choose is the slat profile and drive that suit that cargo.

Wood chips
Wood chips travel long distances from chipping yards to ports or to pellet, paper and boiler plants. The cargo is light and bulky, so trucks usually carry high-sided boxes, and tipping under a warehouse roof or next to power lines is difficult.
With a moving floor, the truck backs into the yard, opens the rear door and unloads on the spot, even indoors. The clean-out tarp sweeps up the last fine chips at the end of the box.
- HALLCO suggested configuration
- i-4000 or i-6000 with Standard slats, drive chosen by payload.

Sawdust
Sawdust is fine, light and easily airborne. When tipped, dust rises with the whole load as it falls. A moving floor pushes the cargo out slowly at floor height, so there is less dust and the pile is easier to control.
Fine particles can pass through the gaps between slats. Nhu Tin considers the slat profile and a clean-out tarp for this cargo during the survey.
- HALLCO suggested configuration
- Wood group: i-4000 or i-6000 with Standard slats. Nhu Tin confirms the profile after seeing a sample.

Rice husk
Rice husk is a common boiler fuel in the Mekong Delta and other rice regions. It is very light, so each trip needs a large box, and trucks often unload in the plant's covered store.
A level box lets the truck work in low buildings. Because husk is light, the pressure on the floor is low, so the slat profile has to be chosen carefully.
- Suggested configuration
- Close to the produce group (i-4000 with AG Topseal). Nhu Tin confirms after seeing a sample and the truck.

Cashew nut shells
This is Nhu Tin's own core cargo: cashew nut shell residue left after oil pressing, delivered by our dedicated fleet to industrial boilers.
Hauling and unloading this very cargo is why Nhu Tin can advise customers in the same industry from real experience, not just from a lookup table.
- Suggested configuration
- HALLCO has no published configuration for cashew shells. Nhu Tin advises from hands-on operating experience.

Produce: corn, cassava
Grain corn, corn silage, dried cassava chips and other produce move with the harvest, in large volumes over a short time. A truck that unloads quickly and by itself at many receiving points is a big advantage at peak season.
With grain, what matters is that nothing leaks through the gaps or is lost on the road.
- HALLCO suggested configuration
- i-4000 with AG Topseal slats to limit product loss.

Animal feed and ingredients
Dried distillers grain, bran, oilseed meal and other bulk ingredients for feed mills. The HALLCO photo here shows dried distillers grain (DDG) being unloaded from a trailer.
Powders and small grains need tightly sealed slats, and the box must unload cleanly so loads don't mix between trips.
- HALLCO suggested configuration
- Grain group: i-4000 with AG Topseal. A clean-out tarp can be added for a clean box.

Household waste
Household waste in Vietnam is often wet, with a lot of leachate. A truck that is not sealed drips leachate along the road, causing odour and complaints. A moving floor trailer hauls large volumes from transfer stations to treatment sites and unloads at the tip face without raising the box.
- HALLCO suggested configuration
- Wet waste: BRUTE 8500 with the leak-tight W Floor. Dry waste: i-4000 or i-6000 with Triple Ridge.

Scrap and recyclables
Used tyres, scrap metal, plastics and recycled paper. The cargo has sharp edges, lands hard on the floor during loading and sometimes contains liquid.
- HALLCO suggested configuration
- Recyclables: i-4000 with NLR-HD. Scrap: i-4000 with Tufdeck or Triple Ridge. Paper and cardboard: i-4000 or i-6000 with Triple Ridge.

Compost
Composting feedstock and finished organic fertiliser are usually damp and heavy with some leachate, though less than household waste.
- HALLCO suggested configuration
- i-4000 with NLR slats to resist leaks.

Coal
Fine and lump coal for boilers and kilns. It is heavy, so each trip carries a high payload, the drive needs enough force and the box must stay within its rated load.
- Suggested configuration
- HALLCO has no published configuration for coal. Nhu Tin chooses the drive by actual payload, usually considering the i-6000 for heavy loads.
Configurations by cargo group
Compiled from HALLCO's industry solutions pages. This is a starting point; the final configuration depends on the truck, payload and actual cargo.
| Cargo group | Drive | Floor slat | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wood, wood chips, sawdust | i-4000 or i-6000 | Standard | Drive chosen by payload |
| Agricultural produce, grain | i-4000 | AG Topseal | Less leakage and product loss |
| Bark, mulch | i-4000 | LoadKeeper or Double Ridge | Depends on the material |
| Dry waste | i-4000 or i-6000 | Triple Ridge | Drive chosen by payload |
| Wet and household waste | BRUTE 8500 | W Floor | Sealed floor, leachate stays off the road |
| Compost | i-4000 | NLR | Leak resistant |
| Recyclables | i-4000 | NLR-HD | Holds a small amount of liquid |
| Scrap, tyres | i-4000 | Tufdeck or Triple Ridge | Tufdeck holds a small amount of liquid |
| Paper, cardboard | i-4000 or i-6000 | Triple Ridge | Drive chosen by payload |
